Borders' View Near Lindean

Sunday, September 15, 2013

Fast changing stormy weather creates a pot of gold opportunity near Innerleithen this afternoon.

Tour of Britain

Grim faced Team Sky riders on the Peloton's front as the 2013 race starts in Peebles.  Pro-team riders, more used to sunny continental climes, were lashed by wind and rain as they headed across the Scottish Borders, at the start of the 721 mile race. As early risers Geraldine and I picked up two Tour of Britain limited edition (100 only) mugs courtesey of Coltman's, where we enjoyed a gourmet breakfast. I did not spot Sir Bradley Wiggins but Geraldine told me he's shaved his sideburns - now he's partied with Weller.
